Yes: If you had a severe reaction to mesh, it should all be removed.

You could, however: There is no data and no guarantee that doing so will cure your problems. Mesh gets blamed for lots of things these days but in most cases there is little data to support such claims. And removing any remaining mesh may not be that easy either. Such procedures can be quite challenging and the surgery you go through may not be worth it. Discuss this with your surgeon.
