Absolutely: If you're supposed to be wearing elastics 24 hrs/day and you only wear them 6 hrs/day, that's only 25% compliance. At best treatment will be slowed by75%. More likely, though, teeth will move back while elastics are out and you will have little or no progress. This is a waste of your time, effort, and money. If you don't take the medicine it doesn't work.
