Re-evaluation: You should b e re-evaluated by the orthodontist that treated you. Please give them a call for an appointment.

Cause: If the cause of your underbite is aberrant skeletal growth, jaw surgery may be required after growth has ceased. Your retainers will maintain tooth alignment, but will not prevent uneven jaw growth. Hopefully your braces were done by an Orthodontic Specialist. Call for a reevaluation.
