Oral surgeon : Does IV concious sedation, you ll be happy, sedated, but not fully asleep. No pain during extraction. Pain after surgery (worse in 1st 3 days) they'll mostvprobably give you vicodin initially. Expect soreness for a week. Not too bad.

You will be fine: If you choose to be sedated, often patients are unaware and are unable to recall anything during the procedure. This is the recommended option if you are apprehensive. You probably will be prescribed pain medications after and sometimes antibiotics.
