3-6 month recovery: Time. This will be a painful surgery but, assuming you have a good orthopedist, you will most likely have improved range of motion and less pain after recovery. You may experience some nerve damage to smaller nerves in the area, but this normally recovers in the normal rehab time. There are risks and you should speak to your ortho about these. Best of luck!
