Anything: You can eat whatever you want. However, i would caution you to avoid chips and nuts for the first 2 days. Avoid using a straw for 24 hours to help prevent the clot from being lost.

Soft diet: For the next 24/72 hours, then gradually to normal diet, just avoid hard or rough foods that might cut into or dislodge the blood clot..

Your dentist should: have given you a list of dos and don'ts. Soft food.. No straws or smoking.

Soft diet: A soft diet following oral surgery is best. Sometimes a liquid diet can be maintained for a few days following the surgery. You don't want to eat something that will injure the surgical area, so avoid hard things like pretzels and the like. Usually you only need to maintain such a diet for about 5 to 7 days. Always follow the surgeon's instructions.
