A member asked:

Would cardiac pain that happens at rest always occur with any excursion or can it just happen and rest and be fine with excursion?

Not likely.: Pain that occurs at rest and not with exertion is very unlikely to represent stenotic coronary disease.

Not necessarily : The type of pain that happens at rest and gets better with exertion is different than pain that is worse with exertion. A detailed history and physical, regardless your age, can help determine what- if any- additional tests need to be done to figure out what is causing this pain. Remember also, chest pain is not always from a disease of the heart and can have many non-cardiac causes.
