Dealing w/stress: The idea is not avoiding stress, but learning to manage it skillfully -- using it for your benefit. For instance, not being passionate about your work allows you to consider what you feel is missing, and what you might do differently to re-instill that feeling. If that's not possible, you can explore other lines of work you might prefer. Talking it through with a psychotherapist could help.

Yes, many options: I feel sorry for anyone stuck in a stressful job, esp. If it's a job they don't like- that's very stressful! you can either change the situation (change jobs) or cope with stress by changing attitude, counseling, exercise, meditation, adequate rest, healthy diet, adaptogenic herbs (ashwagandha, holy basil etc.), magnesium, b complex etc. If you feel stuck consider nite classes towards new career!

Very much agree with: Dr pappas ; dr. Baker. Finding purpose in life is in my mind, essential to wellbeing. I would encourage you to either start to find meaning in what you are currently doing or figure out what you can do in life that provides a sense of meaning. Both of these options require change on your part.
