Would it be a good idea to take a 4 week old on vacation?

INFANT CARE: I may be considered "old fashion " on this topic - however I would strongly suggest not taking a 4 week old infant "on vacation". The infants immune system and general physiology is going through a transition that is best supported with calm, controlled atmosphere, tender loving care and continued essential nutrition. Consider having vacation at home. This infant has its entire life to experience.

Go For It!: I might not plan an african safari right now, but babies travel pretty well at this age. Be sure and bring a sling to carry him around in and keep him out of the direct sunlight if you are traveling to a beach area. If you are breastfeeding, then you've got your milk with you! Planes are somewhat of a risk for catching an infection, but I become less worried about that once a baby is one month
