A member asked:

Do doctors recommend taking growth hormone as treatment for something?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

GH deficiency: It is indicated for gh deficiency and short stature in children. There are many other uses that are speculative or outright bogus. Naturally, gh levels are high in growing kids, still somewhat high in young adults, but then low in older adults. In a patient with hypopituitarism, gh is given to children and young adults, but not in older adults.
