Prevention important: One of my main criticisms of western medicine is relatively little effort is spent on prevention. It is much wiser to prevent illness than wait until it appears. Most doctors have little knowledge/training/interest in vitamins and don't focus on prevention, so i approve. If you need hormones, bio-identical are best, but i don't think most people need them routinely; however, this is controversial.

Good: Sounds like you are in good hands. Just make sure hormone levels are tested by blood or urine prior to starting any hormones and checked every year you are on hormones. Do not start on any hormones unless absolutely needed.
