How to get tartar buildup off a crowded tooth, by yourself?

Brushing & Flossing: Brushing and flossing twice a day is essential to prevent tartar buildup and break the life cycle of the bacteria that are responsible for causing tartar if tartar has already built up, it is important to see your dentist for a professional dental cleaning as frequently as determined by your dentist you might also consider getting the crowded teeth straightened to prevent such build up.

Almost impossible.: Tartar buildup needs to be professionally removed, otherwise you can do damage to your natural tooth if you use the wrong or over the counter dental instruments. Tartar is a very hard substance and does not remove easily, otherwise you floss and toothbrush would remove it.

Scaling: Tartar and plaque are present in most adult oral cavities. Tartar needs to be removed or will cause cavity or gum disease. Scaling and polishing teeth is done usually every 6 months part of the prophylaxis appointment with the hygienist. In some cases either the frequency is increased or there is need for deep scaling depending on the severity of the condition.

See your dentist: The most effective (and safest) way to remove tartar is by having a dental cleaning (prophylaxis)...Tartar is very hard and stuck to enamel, removing it yourself is difficult. Using sharp instruments to try and remove it yourself is not recommended.

Tartar: The hardened build up on teeth is called calculus and may be removed by a professional dental cleaning. Brushing and flossing will help to prevent it from building up. Crowded teeth make it much more difficult to keep these teeth clean and you are more prone to gum disease. Talk to your dentist about straightening your tooth orthodontically.
