Please tell me can a 14 year old catch croup?

Yes and no: Croup is more an infection of kids 6m to 6 yrs although I have seen it in 8 yo. It involves a rubbery quality of the airway that creates the croup sound. This fades as kids age, the airway becoming more stiff.The germ more often causes laryngitis in older kids and adults.
