Semantics: Bad name, as misleading. It usually refers to osteoarthritis, which is often a disorder in need of treatment. Sometimes applied to vertebral overgrowths, which actually are no more common in people with back pain than in those with absolutely no pain. Get opinion from rheumatologist.
