Lung cancer?: If you are talking lung cancer, the term "non small" categorizes the cancer by the size of the cells, not the size of the tumor. You can have a very large "small" cell cancer and a very small "non small" cell cancer. Cell type and stage (how advanced) helps us choose the right treatment. If this is about you, let your oncologist go over your prognosis and treatment.
