A member asked:

I am 30 year male with rectal cancer.finished radiation.mri report is "small lymphnode(size 4mm) is seen along inferior mesenteric vessel". what's it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Most likely LN: This is most likely a lymph node (you can also feel them in the groin and neck areas0. 4 mm is indeterminate in size (thus within the range of sizes for a normal lymph node). The only way to know if it is connected with the cancer is a followup MRI in 4 to 6 months to see if it is getting bigger.
