Minor office...: Operation, if you mean repairing an earlobe that has been torn by an earring. I do these in the office with local anesthesia. They can be washed immediately with suture removal in 1-2 weeks. I have the patient wait 6 weeks and will then re-pierce the earlobe.

Pretty simple: Pretty simple if you are talking about a straightforward defect where the earring just pulled through. If you had a gauge or your earlobes are really thinned out and stretched, it can be a little more involved. It is an office procedure 30 min. We remove the edges and then sew it back up. Sutures stay in about a week, and in 6-8 weeks when it is all healed you can re-pierce. Not through the scar
