Implants vs fat: These are not equivalent. Fat grafting uses your own fat to accomplish buttock augmentation. Donor sites and associated risks are involved. Only a certain percentage of the fat survives which can vary tremendously. Implants are typically made of solid silicone and require an incision. Even in experienced hands implants may have a complication rate of up to 30% but may be the best option in thin pt.

Buttock Augmentation: Butt lifting is most often combined with butt augmentation using fat grafting (Brazilian Butt Lift) to improve the contour of the buttocks. In a buttocks augmentation procedure, I liposuction excess fat from other areas of the body, and then spin the fat in a centrifuge to separate the fat cells from other blood components. The fat is then cross layered into select portions of the buttocks.

BBL vs Implants: Fat grafting and butt implants are not the same. A Brazilian Butt Lift (fat grafting to the buttocks) gives you a more sculpted torso with more prominent buttocks. To perform the procedure, we first remove fat via liposuction, process the fat, and then reinject just the best fat cells into the buttocks. BBL has a lower complication rate and better results.
