A member asked:

Could a person who has had chicken pox in the past get it again by living with a person who has chicken pox?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Once you have chickenpox, you have a lifetime of immunity. New exposures will not produce a new infection. This is quite different from conditions like strep throat that you can get repeatedly.
