Tuberculosis: Yoy have tuberculosis(tb) noted in your history. Tb can cause abnormalities like pleural thickening and effusion. The treatment your are taking is appropriate and you should be following along with your doctor. Your x-ray or ct scan evaluates the lung and the radiologist interprets the findings.

Radiographic opinion: A chest film may show indstinctness of the covering around the lung which may be related to fluid(effusion) if located in the dependent area of the lung. Thickening of the pleura can occur anywhere and is usually related to a prior lung problem such as infection such as tuberculosis.
