Not necessarily: May b from an infection as a uri, ; they may or may not. If so, they may decrease but not go away.

Many causes: There are many causes of enlarged lymph nodes in neck , some can be serious and other due to mild illness and go away on its own.The causes are 1tonsillitis 2infectiious mononucleosis 3 viral infections 4lymphomas 5 hodgkins disease 6leukemia 7dental problems 8hiv 9rheumatoid arthritis discuss with your doctor what his/her impression is, as to the cause and if it needs biopsy to make diagnosis.
