I have done 5 mri's and 6 xray's within one year..i wonder if it will effect my health? if so, how to avoid its side effects?

Radiation: X-rays are radiation and can have potential side effects such as an increased risk for cancers.A lot depends on the dose and what area was x-rayed.Mri scans generally don't have side effects. However, if one had an MRI scan with contrast-you need to be cautious if there is any renal insufficiency. Most people are ok. But , if there is any renal insufficiency the contrast can lead to kidney problems.
