A member asked:

What's the difference between primary biliary cirrhosis and primary sclerosing cholangitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Similar symptoms: Distinct diseases that announce themselves in the same way. Both destroy the small bile ducts within the liver and produce jaundice, itching and sometimes failure of the liver. The microscopic picture, labs, and treatment options are as strikingly different as the presentations are similar.
