Get a diagnosis: Tendinitis can occur by itself due to overuse, injury, or repetitive use. It can also be part of an arthritis or metabic disease. The first step in long term control is to determine the cause. There are many treatments for tendinitis however the treatment will vary depending on why it is occurring.

Probably: If activity related, may need to be modified. Stress points need to be reduced. Diagnosis needs to be confirmed by rheumatologist or possibly orthopaedic surgeon.
