You: Different types of fruit have different amounts of calories. If you take in enough fruit - you will gain weight (if calories in exceeed calories burned).

Sugar Hurts: Yes. Absolutely. To really lose weight both the number of calories you ingest has to be limited and the amount of sugar or carbohydrate calories have to also be limited. Fruit is 100% sugar. This is the real danger in obesity. Sugar leads to fat that leads to obesity. Healthy dieting will limit the total carbohydrate calories to 25%.
