Hiatal hernia?: The most common hernia "in your chest" would be a hernia in the diaphragm at the opening for the esophagus. When this opening enlarges the stomach can push up into the chest, often causing heartburn. There can also be other types of hernias through the diaphragm that have specific names depending on the location in the diaphragm.
