A member asked:

Chilly toes even when i wear warm boot! are boot warmers safe if neuropathy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: If your neuropathy is severe, you may not feel heat well, and are at risk for burn injury. Interestingly, the sensation of cold may be related to lower foot temperature (when you reach down your foot is actually cold to touch) or your nerves misfiring a cold signal to your brain (your feet are not as cold on the outside as they feel on the inside). Warming devices also do not help the latter.
