Why do you ask?: Most physicians consider autism a continuum with healthy, happy people who may prefer focusing on academics, low-stimulus environments, and the rich life of the mind. Stop troubling yourself. Ask instead, can you learn to read people, improve social skills, find a strength / endurance sport you like, find the right line of work, and be proud of whatever special gifts you have?

Autism signs: Talk it over with a professional like a doctor, counselor, therapist. Very important to get an outside and objective opinion. Big things of all the symptoms to look for are delayed speech as a child, limited breadth of interests (restricted range of activities willing to do, very restricted though) and challenges in reading social cues or processing social info. Many know the last one.
