Start simple: Schools have been coming up with some complex opinions lately. They have no place trying to diagnosis any of those disorders. They may suggest that he be evaluated. School saying Help!: An evaluation by a team - dbpede, neurologist, neuropsychologist, child psychiatrist, et al will establish both categorical & etiologic diagnoses & provide recommendations for medical, educational, behavioral & social/adaptive interventions to help your son function to the best of his ability in his transition to adulthood. Idea requires the school to pick a category for services & they need help.
