Depends on severity: There are some dentists who utilize twilight sleep for doing the dental procedures- not entirely out, but sedated enough to help with anxiety and can get more dental work done at one visit. Need a thorough health history and consultation. As far as placing someone completely under, not that common unless some extenuating circumstances like extractions, health concerns or disabilities.

Absolutely: As long as you are medically cleared by your MD, then it is possible. Check your local dental society for Dentists who do this. Often done in a hospital setting. Good Luck.

The Comfort Zone: If you are one of the many people apprehensive about receiving dental care, you can request sleep dentistry for your comfort. You could just sleep through your dental treatment and receive the dental care you need.
