Sleep bruxism: Sleep bruxism is a sleep related movement disorder that we seem to be born with. It is not a habit as opposed to awake bruxism. Therefore, sleep bruxism can not be cured, it must be managed. Some medications have been shown to reduce this activity. Also, oral appliances can protect the teeth, decrease the muscle contraction force and in some cases, reduce the number of events.
