Could be: Many possible causes, but unfortunately you will need to see a Dr in person to find out. Some painful lumps can be cysts, benign or malignant tumors, infections, it's impossible to tell without an exam. I recommend you make an appointment with a Dr as soon as you can, because the sooner it is diagnosed, the sooner you can start feeling better!

Abnormal Lymph node: enlargement and pain commonly results from infection, immune response or other causes. Therefore, the direct clinical examination is essential for diagnosis. See your PCP first.
