A member asked:

Is it okay to donate plasma 4 days after getting 5 teeth pulled?

Okay: There will be minimum blood loss after extraction of teeth. Plus you are only donating plasma, so not whole blood. The one factor that might be taken into consideration will be the taking of medication following the extractions. You may have to put off the donation.

Why not: I don't see why you would not be able to. If concerned, check with your pcp.

Wait 7- 10 days: Packing and sutures must be removed and antibiotics are not acceptable within 24 hours of a donation. Take care.
