Ovarian mass pain: This requires care by gyn specialist to evaluate mass and to give specialty care, and perhaps surgery. Try to see one doctor frequently rather than go to er.

Removal: If you have an 8 cm painful ovarian mass then this can be removed. Schedule a visit with an obgyn in their office instead of going to the er. Bring a copy of the sonogram or ct scan report for them to review and you can see if you are a surgical candidate. This is a very common surgery for a gynecologist.
