You can if...: The medication is prescribed by your physician, no previous allergy to vicodin, and the due date is current. You also must to know that you cannot mix vicodin with alcohol or with any of the monoamine oxidase inhibitors (antidepressants). In any case it is prudent to consult with your anesthesiologist for final decision.
