Narcotic nausea: Percocet (Oxycodone) is a stronger medicine than Vicodin (hydrocodone). Both last only 4 hours when using the short acting form of the medication. While you can take Percocet 5 hours after Vicodin, you may find more relief using a longer acting form of pain medication, rather than using 2 short acting medications. Your doctor can help you determine which mediations are most appropriate.
