A member asked:

Taken carbimazole and ptu (propylthiouracil) in the past for my thyroid, but they are not improving my condition, is there any other anti- thyroid drugs i can take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Methimazole is also: Available and then there is radioiodine -- but any of the antithyroid drugs will work if taken at adequate doses for long enough to deplete stored up, previously manufactured, thyroid hormone. Check w/your doctor.
