Arthroscopy : Talar dome" chip" fractures are fairly common. If symptomatic , which they usually are, and anterior as u say, arththroscopic debridement( removal)w/ microfx. Is the treatment of choice . Fixation of these small mostly cartilaginous fragments doesn't work. If the fragment is acute and large it may heal in a cast.For larger lesions or ocd we have performed osteochondral autograft transfer(f/ knee).

Chip fracture: As stated , arthroscopic surgery generally works well. There could be more going on , but your doc will cover that with you.
