Difficult to say: The' severe' ankle sprain also resulted in an injury to the talus apparently .The 'lesion' to the talus may be separate from the stress injury to the bone , possibly a small 'chip' or osteochondral injury sustained at the time of the injury. This "pre- stress" injury sounds like a radiologic term for loss of bone density on MRI or a mild contusion.Check w/ your ors concerning signifigance.
