Usually not: It depends somewhat on the nature of the fracture itself. One if the more common things we will see is a non-displaced fracture of the distal fibula, and for those fractures it does not hurt to bear weight. Discuss with your doctor.

Not enough info: you need to provide more specifics about what bone was fractured and how severe was the fracture. Generally, you likely did not permanent harm.
