A member asked:

I made other us. hypervascular thyroid nodule posterior aspect of right lobe 9x8mm which is hypoechoic and internal vascularity. today they said it kept the same after 2 months. other us in 2 months. what is it this nodule or its cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A "hypoechoic thyroid nodule with increased vascularity" may just represent a benign thyroidal nodule if TSH is normal. If it is "stable after repeat studies for two months", the risk of malignancy is reduced, but followup is appropriate.
