Rib cage anomalies: Are not uncommon. Pectus excavatum is one, and there are variants and degrees. Most are of cosmetic interest but without significant heart or lung issues, but some are significant and x-rays, echocardiograms and appropriate testing are relevant. See a cardiothoracic surgeon.
