Yes: @ age 23 tearing your acl is a serious knee injury. Please see my previous answers on acl injuries on health tap. Briefly, acl tears can lead to chronic instability of the knee; can lead to meniscus( cartilage) tears as well as articular cartilage wear( early arthritis)if left untreated.See your ors who has experience in treating acl injuries.
