Doubt diagnosis: Aspiration is inhaling into the lung substances such as food, stomach acid, secretions from the back of the nose and so forth. It can cause wheezing, if continuous, damage the lungs. However, what you are describing is severe shortness of breath with minor exertion. This can be due to severe asthma, emphysema, heart disease to name a few. You need to be checked thoroughly for the above.
