Of course it can: Bronchospasm- wheezing, tight chest, cough, can have a number of triggers: allergies, windy weather, colds, and anxiety is one of them. Inhalers can be helpful with this condition , no matter what the cause. if it happens frequently you may want to see a pulmonary specialist or allergist to see if there might be other triggers than anxiety
