A member asked:

Can ibs cause a rectovaginal fistula?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Should not; see doc: Ibs is a functional disorder--means the organs (stomach/intestine) are not sick..They just don't work properly and so they cause your misery--bloating, cramping, nausea/flatulence etc.... Fistula often forms due to diseased organs that are closed to each other--as rectum and vagina, forming rectovaginal fistula--crohn's disease is a famous one for this condition. Consult doc. Good luck.
