No insurance: Start by seeing if the tooth needs to come out at this time, if treatment can be temporarily postponed, or possible not removed at all. If it needs to be removed, find out the cost, as well as possible payment options (such as carecredit or the citihealthcard). Dental school or hospital based dental residency programs offer reduced fees. Otherwise start saving or bite the bullet and prioritize $.
