Need a monitor: Although the palpitations you are experiencing may be a kind of "allergic" response, that is not likely unless there are other manifestations (like a skin rash) as well. It may be that you have an underlying arrhythmia or short circuit in the heart that is exacerbated by eating tomatoes. A cardiac monitor with a good tomato feast would help provide the answer.
