Benign premature heartbeats can occur with or after meals and some feel it's related to distension of the stomach rather than to specific foods. However in view of what you tend to call a family history of these,I recommend wearing an outpatient heart monitor to ensure that there's no evidence of potentially serious arrhythmias that can run in families. Discuss this with your physician.
