A member asked:

What should i do if i have a chronically low white cell count. should i let a doctor put me on tegretol?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Might use different: Since tegretol has on occasion caused bone marrow suppression, and even pancytopenia, would suggest choosing a medication which would not affect white cell count. You do not indicate rationale for this medication, but certainly confer with your doctor about alternatives.
